Dr. Schmutz earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from The Ohio State University in 1995. He added a
Bachelor of Science degree in human biology from the National College of Chiropractic in 1997, and his Doctor of Chiropractic
Degree, also from National, in 1999.
He returned to the Youngstown area in 1999 and has been serving the needs of his patients ever since. While doing
so, Dr. Schmutz continued his education via post-graduate study. After successfully completing over 300 hours of study
and a national board, he was awarded a Diplomat status by the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists (D.A.B.C.O.).
He was also awarded Fellow status by the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (F.A.C.O.). Dr. Schmutz still continues his
post-graduate studies in order to assure his patients are receiving the most up-to-date treatment available.
On the personal side, Dr. Schmutz is happily married to his beautiful wife, Sheri. Their son Logan was born in
2006. They reside in Boardman. Dr. Schmutz enjoys staying active through triathlons and by playing golf on occasion.
He is a proud supporter of community projects, including Youngstown Rotary and Boardman Flag Football.
